Before a design enters the garment production phase, it typically requires a design sample for display, a process known as the garment development step.
The first step in the apparel production flow is when the designer confirms the design. Based on the customer's requirements, we proceed to the market to source suitable fabric and trim. Subsequently, a pattern maker is tasked with calculating the garment yield and creating a sample costing for the customer. If the price is deemed workable, we will purchase the fabric and trim from the market. For special fabrics, we often collaborate with our mill to weave a roll and dye or print it according to the designer's specifications. Similarly, for unique trims, we engage our trim supplier to produce the necessary samples.
Once the fabric and trim are prepared, we move on to creating a paper pattern for the garment. This pattern is then fitted on a model, with adjustments made until it satisfies the customer's fit requirements. The sample is sewn and ironed, and after a thorough final check of the specifications to ensure quality standards, it is dispatched via FedEx.
In the context of garment manufacture from China, this process is crucial for ensuring that the final product meets international quality expectations and aligns with the customer's vision. It is through these meticulous steps in the apparel production flow that we maintain our reputation for high-quality garment production.
